Overview
In this 16 book bundle you will get access to all of our current library of lesson plans that you can view on any device and keep on developing your classes skills. With this bundle you will have access to:
We’re Going on a Bear hunt
The learners will ‘go on a bear hunt’ and immerse themselves as one of the characters from the front of the book. They’ll answer predictive questions about the front cover before warming up with specific exercises like jumping, hopping and skipping.
During the story, the learners will focus on kicking their ball through a ‘target’ in the game ‘Stuck In The Mud’. Practice their toe taps and close control in ‘Cross The River’ and concentrate on dribbling their football closely during the activity ‘Go Through The Narrow Cave’ as well as the dribbling game ‘Chased By The Bear’.
Emergency!
The children will learn about all the different types of transport used to help people in an ‘emergency’ and learn what that word means.
During the book, the learners will act out all the different noises and actions the modes of transport make in an engaging warm up. They’ll then be involved in a ‘Police Chase’, where they have to keep their football close to them and then acting out being in an ambulance and kicking their ball through a target in the game ‘Doctor, Doctor!’.
As well as that, the learners will listen carefully to instructions and change speeds when dribbling in the game ‘Red, Yellow, Green Motorbike!’ and will also get ‘Stuck In The Snow’. This action packed book finishes with the game ‘Breakdown Truck’ with the learners moving all the broken cars to the garage in the fun dribbling exercise.
Lost and Found
The children will immerse themselves in the story by acting as the boy and going on the journey with the lost penguin (their football).
During the story, the children will take the penguin (ball) with them and try find out where it has come from. They’ll play a fun dribbling activity in the game ‘Lost & Found Office’, and also improve their kicking skills in ‘Get The Boat Ready!’. As well as that, the learners will get caught up in a storm and play the game ‘Huge Waves!’ where they have to keep their ball close to them with little touches and finally dribbling in and out of cones in ‘Back to the South Pole.’
Whatever Next
In this great Jill Murphy novel, the learners will take the bear on his journey to space with lots of fun activities linked to the story
They’ll dribble their ball close to them whilst playing the game ‘find the bear’s clothes’ before taking off into the sky. During the story, they’ll play the fun dribbling game ‘Dodge the Owl’ and then eat food on the moon in the game ‘Picnic Time!’ After their adventure to the moon, the learners will dribble in and out of cones in the game ‘All the way back home’.
To finish, the learners will get themselves nice and clean (just like the bear does in the story!) in the game ‘Bath Time!’ where they compete against each other to try and dribble the ball to the target.
The Way Back Home
The learners will immerse themselves in the book by being the boy character throughout the story. To start with, the children will warm up with lots of different exercises like high knees, heel flicks, running backwards and sideways to get themselves ready for their journey.
They’ll take off up to space by concentrating on keeping their ball close to them in the game ‘Drive Your Plane!’ and also think of ways in which to help keep the plane in the air in the game ‘Petrol Station!’. Children will work in pairs in this dribbling game ‘Not Alone Anymore’ and also think of lots of different items they may need to fix their plane in space in the fun activity ‘Items For The Journey’.
Where’s My Teddy
The children will be asked about their favourite Teddy at home and what they are called. They will describe how they might feel if they lost their favourite Teddy.
They’ll then help the main character Eddie find his Teddy that he has lost. The learners will take Eddie into the woods and dribble their ball closely in the game ‘Watch the trees!’ and hide from the bear in the activity ‘Hide!’. They’ll also take part in the fun game ‘Bear Chase’ where they have to keep their football away from the bear with little touches and then take Freddie and his teddy all the way back home in a target game.
