Penguin Small

Overview

This is a three-week session which the children will immerse themselves in the penguin character in the fantastic novel by Mick Inkpen called ‘Penguin Small’.

In this action packed sequence, the learners have to take Penguin over to the other side of the South Pole in the game ‘Lonely Penguin’. Polar bears then frighten the learners and try and eat them in the game ‘Polar Bears Are Coming!’

Children then have to work as a team and take Penguin to an island in the fun activity ‘Get to an Island!’. After this, they get caught up in a huge thunderstorm and have to keep Penguin Small close to them or the big waves will get them in the game ‘Thunderstorm!’

The learners learn some fantastic high level vocabulary in the game ‘Penguin Small Can Fly’ and finally they take Penguin home in the fun activity ‘Penguin Small Back Home’
