Stanford is very happy with the Kickstarters Club - we particularly value the way physical activities and the love of reading are combined. The pupils involved have really enjoyed the after-school club and we are now investing in a lunch time club too.

I think it's great that the profile of reading is raised through sport. The children love the morning club and talk excitedly about the books they have shared and the activities they do.

My little boy loves these sessions. They are very age appropriate and the combination of a story with football skills helps to keep him engaged throughout the session. Neal has the patience of a Saint and is great with the kids. Would recommend for any young budding footballer.
My 4 year old absolutely loves the Kickstarters sessions. Since joining hes football mad! The class is great for budding footballers as Neal pitches it perfectly for them through the story. Highly recommended!!
Amazing football sessions and fab idea from the fantastic Neal Watts. My little boy has attended as many sessions as he can since they started. He had a bad experience with football when he was younger and I thought he was put off for life. Neal is amazing with the little ones and really brings the story to life with the little ones imagination. Freddie can’t wait for more sessions.
My daughter has attended several of these sessions both in the holidays and after school. The links between the books and the activities are great, using the story to help develop the basic skills needed to control, pass and shoot the ball. Through a mixture of activities inter spaced with reading a couple of pages at a time, the children do not lose interest and are focused on the book and activity equally. Neal has a great attitude and you can see he has the experience of working with younger children. They are all encouraged and celebrated in their achievements, whatever level they are working at. Highly recommended.
My son loves these sessions with Neal, the way he incorporates the story through football is brilliant!! It makes it more entertaining and enjoyable for the children while helping teach and develop them all the basic football skills needed at this young age!! Highly recommend to anyone wanting introduce football to their children.
These sessions are great for any little person who is interested in football. They are age/stage appropriate whilst capturing children’s imagination through different story’s to learn the basic skills required in football. My son has been attending since Easter and hasn’t missed a session, he loves them. I’m really pleased with the work that Neal and Dan have been doing, they are doing amazing job. My son has really taken too them both and he coming along a lot with his football skills in the last few months. Thanks for the amazing job you are doing.
Superb sessions put on by Neal my 3 year old loves attending and I’d strongly recommend to anyone
My Son had his 1st 2 sessions this week and absolutely loved it. doesn't stop going on about Wattsy and Lewis so thanks guys see you again soon
Jude went to his first session today. He finds it hard to get involved with large groups and can be quite shy to begin with. We have tried him with other groups which he didn't enjoy but he absolutely loved today's session and joined in straight away. I think this is down to the way Neal is with children Jude took to him straight away and felt very comfortable. He cant wait to come back next week so thank you, I would highly reccomend these sessions it works perfectly for the age group.
We had our 1st session today i think i enjoyed it as much as my son. they are fantastic with the little ones pitched perfectly, I've worked with 3-5yr olds for 11 years and i know not everyone can bring it down to there level i was so impressed. Their concept for bringing reading and football together is great we cant wait to make your club a weekly thing once the warmer weather arrives thank you definitely 10 out of 10 club
My 3 year old came to his first holiday session last week. I was apprehensive due to his age and wondered how much he would understand however I had no need to be. My husband took him and said the session was great, he said the coaches were kind, supportive and encouraging, and the stories were incorporated into the session very cleverly. My little boy thoroughly enjoyed himself and I’m in no doubt he will continue to enjoy coming. I’m really pleased we have found a sports activity our toddler can take part in
